Common questions
Pricing, Straight Up
How does the 10% seniors discount work?
Seniors get 10% off the job, full stop. There's no card to show and no eligibility form to fill out, and it stacks with the $50 online booking offer if you book that way too.
What does "$50 off when you book online" cover?
Book your job through our website instead of over the phone and $50 comes off the price. It applies to the work you book.
Is the quote really free?
Yes. We come out, look at the drain, and give you a price with nothing owing either way. There's no call-out fee attached to that visit.
How do quotes work?
A plumber inspects the blockage, explains what's causing it, and gives you one number for the whole job before any work starts. You approve that number. It doesn't move once we're under way.
Common questions
Whose Drain Is It, and Who Can Touch It
What is an overflow relief gully and why does it matter?
It's the small grated outlet, usually near an outside wall, that lets sewage overflow safely into the yard instead of backing up into your house. If it's gurgling or overflowing, that's telling you there's a blockage further down the line. It's worth checking before you call, since it can point straight to the problem.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Every job is carried out by a licensed plumber, NSW plumbing licence #275278C, and we carry $20 million public liability insurance. That covers your home while we're on site.
Do wipes really block drains?
Yes, even the ones labelled "flushable". They don't break down like toilet paper does, so they snag on rough spots inside older pipe and build into a blockage over time. Usually with a few other wipes behind them.
Can I clear a blocked drain myself?
Sometimes, for a single slow sink or a shower with light hair buildup. Anything past that, tree roots, a collapsed section, or sewage backing up, needs a licensed plumber with a camera and proper drain-clearing gear. Pushing harder on a real blockage tends to just move the problem along the pipe.
Common questions
Response Times and Booking
What counts as a drain emergency?
Sewage backing up inside the house, water overflowing from an outside gully, or a toilet that won't clear and keeps refilling. Any of those means don't wait, call us straight away.
Are you really open 24/7?
Yes. A real person answers the phone, not a machine.
What happens after I call?
We ask a few quick questions about the blockage, then get a licensed plumber on-site in 30 minutes, guaranteed. The plumber explains what's happening as they go, so nothing's a surprise.
How do I book online?
Fill in the booking form on our website with your details and a bit about the blockage. We'll confirm a time, and booking this way gets you $50 off the job.
Common questions
Local Answers for Bangor
Why do Bangor's older drains keep blocking?
A lot of Bangor's homes date to the 1980s and 1990s build-out on large, tree-covered blocks, and mature roots from that established greenery push into the original clay and PVC lines over time. Sloping sites add sediment and runoff into the mix on top of that. Heavy autumn rain tends to bring it to a head.
Do you know Bangor's pipe stock?
Yes. Between the older clay lines from the original 1980s development and the newer PVC used in later work, we know what's usually running under a Bangor block and where it tends to fail first. That means less guesswork on the day.
Do you work on strata and apartment blocks?
Yes, alongside standalone houses. Shared drain lines in multi-unit buildings get the same camera-first approach as a house on a big block. The pipework's different, but the standard isn't.
How local are you, really?
We're in Bangor and the surrounding Sutherland Shire regularly, not sent out from across Sydney for a one-off job. That's why we know the streets, the pipe stock, and what a local block usually throws up.
